Summary
Power battery cathode material refers to the active material on the battery cathode, which is mainly composed of cobalt, nickel, manganese, iron and other metal oxides mixed together. In the process of charging and discharging lithium-ion batteries, the cathode material plays a vital role. During charging, the lithium ions generated by the positive electrode move across the separator to the negative electrode through the electrolyte; when discharging, the embedded lithium ions escape and move back to the positive electrode. Therefore, the performance of the cathode material directly affects the charging capacity, discharge capacity, energy density, cycle life and safety performance of the battery.
