Summary
An industrial linear accelerator is a device used to accelerate charged particles (such as electrons or protons) to produce a high-energy beam. It is commonly used in medical, scientific research and industrial applications. An industrial linear accelerator is mainly composed of components such as an acceleration tube, a radio frequency source, a magnet system, a beam current diagnostic system and a control system. By applying a high-frequency electric field inside the accelerating tube, charged particles can be accelerated to very high speeds, resulting in high-energy beam currents. These beam currents can be used in the fields of material modification, medical radiotherapy, and non-destructive testing.
