Summary
A nephrostomy guidewire is a medical device used in nephrostomy procedures to guide and position the nephrostomy catheter during surgery. A nephrostomy is a surgical procedure used to create a channel connecting the kidneys to the surface of the body for drainage of urine. During the operation, the doctor needs to guide and position the nephrostomy catheter through a guidewire to ensure that the operation proceeds smoothly.
