2026 CVM (ACS, AF and Stroke) Market Analysis Survey: Comprehensive Assessment of Market and Treatment Environments for ACS, AF and StrokePharmaceutical / LifeSciense Market

Abstract

Survey Overview

This study used desk research, including literature and publicly available data, to comprehensively understand the domestic market and treatment environments in the ACS (acute coronary syndrome), AF (atrial fibrillation), and Stroke areas. It examined disease and epidemiological information, patient journeys, unmet medical needs, patient distribution by medical institution, treatment patterns and flows, drug selection criteria, decision making stakeholders, and the external environment. For AF and Stroke, interviews with specialists were also conducted to qualitatively assess and supplement findings on treatment status, treatment evaluation, and challenges in actual clinical practice.

For ACS, the study clarifies treatment flows and treatment environments from emergency transport after onset through initial treatment, acute phase inpatient treatment, and secondary prevention in the chronic phase outpatient setting. For AF, it visualizes treatment processes centered on anticoagulant therapy from onset through the acute phase, recovery phase inpatient care, and chronic phase recurrence prevention, and identifies the actual treatment practices of specialists. For Stroke, it visualizes treatment environments from onset through acute and recovery phase inpatient care to chronic phase follow up, and identifies the actual treatment practices of specialists regarding antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy for ischemic stroke patients.

This study is intended to serve as a reference for exploring opportunities for development, marketing, and market entry in future treatment for ACS, AF, and Stroke.

Summary

Survey Purpose

Through these investigations, the study is intended to serve as a reference for exploring opportunities for development, marketing, and market entry in future treatment for ACS, AF, and Stroke. The specific survey content for each disease is as follows.

ACS

The study clarifies treatment flows and treatment environments from emergency transport after onset through initial treatment, acute phase inpatient treatment, and secondary prevention in the chronic phase outpatient setting.

AF

For treatment from onset through the acute phase, recovery phase inpatient care, and chronic phase recurrence prevention, the study visualizes treatment processes centered on anticoagulant therapy. Physician interviews clarify the actual treatment practices of specialists, including the criteria for selecting and initiating DOACs and catheter ablation therapy for nonvalvular patients, and their awareness of bleeding risk associated with anticoagulant therapy.

Stroke

The study visualizes treatment environments from onset through acute and recovery phase inpatient care to chronic phase follow up. Physician interviews focus on antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy for ischemic stroke patients and clarify the actual treatment practices of specialists, including treatment status and selection and initiation criteria.
